Hi, I’m Zayna, founder of Askin Interiors

Design, for me, feels like a song and dance that continues to play throughout my life. A happy, go lucky, jumping on my bed to “Baby” by Justin Bieber, last day of school before summer break, finally seeing the waiter coming with the food kind of song and dance. From an early age, I would walk into a room and transform it in my head. I asked my parents if I could pick out a new bedroom furniture set for my 10th birthday… then I got a paintbrush in my hand and just about every room in my childhood home became a project.

Throughout the years, I’ve learned how profoundly a space can change the way you live, work, and feel, which led me to create Askin Interiors - a studio that prioritizes functionality just as much as design, no matter what you’re askin’ for.

Before launching Askin Interiors, I spent 10 years working as a nanny for children of all ages and families of all backgrounds. The one thing that remained consistent in every household was how important it was for the home to work around daily routines. Each space should be working for you, not against you.

Today, I blend creativity, psychology, and functionality to design spaces that offer peace of mind and create a true sense of home (what ever that means to you).

When I’m not designing, I’m exploring new hobbies, spending time with my dog/friends/family, enjoying the Florida sun, strength training, traveling, and home shopping!

Design isn’t just a song and dance anymore… but a story I want to continue telling through Askin by helping others tell theirs.
