Our Process

Every project begins with an initial consultation. Whether you’re looking for full-service design or simply need guidance on your space, this 1 to 2 hour high-level meeting allows us to understand your goals, scope, and priorities.
Our objective is to gather enough information to outline the scope of work, provide a design fee, and share a realistic range for total project investment. This time can also be used flexibly to address additional design questions outside the project scope.

Phase 1: Initial Consultation

Phase 2: Concept Development & Site Measure

This phase is focused on understanding your design aesthetic. We take a deep dive into your preferences around color, lines, texture, materials, and overall style direction.
For renovation projects, this meeting takes place on site and includes measuring the spaces involved. For new construction or projects with existing architectural drawings, plans are provided at this stage.

Phase 3: Design Planning & Revisions

This is where your vision begins to take shape. Our team works behind the scenes to develop the design through layout planning, SketchUp drawings, 3D renderings, concept boards, and finish and furniture selections.
Once complete, we present the proposed layouts, renderings, and selections, along with physical samples whenever available. Revisions are made as needed to refine the design before final approval.

Phase 4: Design Approval & Budget Confirmation

Once the design is approved, including layouts, hard finishes, and soft finishes, we prepare documentation for contractor pricing. These materials are sent to your contractor of choice, or we can recommend trusted contractors if needed.
After receiving the contractor’s estimate, you will have a complete picture of the overall project cost and can provide final approval to move forward.

Phase 5: Procurement & Order Management

Following approval, we provide a detailed procurement package outlining all furnishings, fixtures, and materials to be ordered, along with pricing. Upon sign-off and payment, we manage the ordering process on your behalf.
This includes reviewing specifications, tracking lead times, coordinating delivery and receiving, and handling any issues such as delays, damages, or backorders. We keep you informed throughout and flag anything that may affect the project timeline.

Phase 6: Construction & Design Oversight

During construction, we work closely with your contractor to ensure the design is executed as planned. This includes regular site visits, participation in site meetings, and acting as a liaison between you and the contractor.
As with any renovation, unexpected conditions may arise. When they do, we provide guidance and solutions to keep the project moving forward. For questions related to subcontractor scheduling or daily site activity, the contractor remains the most direct point of contact.

Phase 7: Furnishings & Décor Installation

Once construction is complete, we move into installation. Furniture, rugs, lighting, and accessories are delivered and placed, and we oversee the installation to ensure every detail is executed properly.
This is where the space truly comes together, with thoughtful layering and finishing touches that bring the design to life.

At the completion of each project, we love the opportunity to professionally photograph our work. Each project is unique, and photography allows us to document and share the finished result.
Depending on the scope and timeline, photography may take place in stages or once all spaces are complete. We aim to be minimally invasive and may bring in styling pieces or adjust existing items for the shoot. Everything is always returned to its original place.
